The Institute
The KIIT ITI is affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Government of India, New Delhi, through the State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Government of Odisha. Situated in the state capital of Bhubaneswar, along the Bhubaneswar-Nandankanan Road at Chandaka Industrial Estate, the institute enjoys convenient access via frequent town bus services, available every five minutes.
The primary objective of the institute is to provide technical training approved by NCVT, aimed at preparing educated unemployed youth for industrial employment opportunities in Odisha and beyond. Additionally, the institute aims to facilitate self-employment ventures, empowering students to become entrepreneurs and contribute to the economic growth of the region and beyond.
Equipped with its own building and workshops furnished with various types of machinery and tools, all meeting NCVT standards, the institute boasts a comprehensive technical library. Additionally, students benefit from exposure to advanced technology through the facilities available at other institutes under the KIIT umbrella, including Diploma Engineering, Degree Engineering, M.C.A., and M.B.A. wings.
KIIT’s infrastructure extends beyond educational facilities to include essential amenities for student welfare. The institute features a 2600-bed hospital staffed by experienced physicians and pharmacists to provide medical assistance to students. Furthermore, a Post Office and banking services, provided by Allahabad Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI, and Odisha Bank of Commerce, respectively, are available within the campus premises. A number of ATMs representing various banks are operational on campus, along with a Railway Reservation Counter, catering to the diverse needs of students and staff alike.
