KIIT ITI is affiliated to the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Government of India, New Delhi, through State Council for Technical Educational & Vocational Training, Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Government of Odisha.

The Institute is located in the State Capital of Bhubaneswar, by the side of Bhubaneswar, Nandankanan Road at Chandaka Industrial Estate. The Place is connected with frequent town bus service at every five minutes. The aim of the Institute is to impart technical training approved by NCVT to make the educated unemployed youth suitable for industrial employment in Odisha as well as gainful self employment.

The Institute has its own building, workshop equipped with all types of machineries, tools etc, (as per NCVT norms) and a full fledged technical library. Besides, other institutes under KIIT like Diploma Engineering, Degree Engineering, M.C.A. & M.B.A. wings have sophisticated equipments, Laboratories, Workshops etc. which also give exposure to ITI students on advanced technology in the present scenario.

KIIT has its own 1200 bedded hospital having experienced physician and pharmacist for providing Medical aid to students. A Post Office is functioning in KIIT Campus to extend postal service. Banking facility is provided in the Campus by Allahabad Bank and also Odisha Bank of Commerce. Five ATMs are in service in the campus, one of Allahabad Bank, Punjab National bank, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India and United Bank of India Rly Reservation Counter is functioning in KIIT Campus
